The Self-Attesting Bible vs. Everything Else
Biblical Christianity is the only religion that has, at its core, a Book that makes the claims that the Bible makes. I welcome anyone reading this to show me any other sacred writings from any other religion that makes the central claims made in the Bible or by Jesus Christ of Himself.
I challenge my reader to check out the Seven Valleys and the Four Valleys of Bahá’ism, the Tipitaka of Buddhism, the Vedas and the Upanishads of Hinduism, the Quran and the Hadiths of Islam, the Agamas of Jainism, or the Tanakh And The Talmud of Judaism. No other writings make the self-authenticating claims of Biblical Christianity.
Furthermore, it is self-defeating to think that human beings, independent of the one and only self-existing Trinitarian God who has revealed Himself in His self-attesting Bible, can come to Ultimate conclusions about Reality. You cannot validate reason with reason or science with science or logic with logic or any combination of the three. In other words, you cannot validate human claims to Knowledge by looking to humanity itself. It is nothing but question-begging at its worst.
All claims to Ultimate Truth are either self-defeating or self-authenticating. All forms of humanism and other religions are self-defeating, while only the Bible is self-authenticating. This is why the Bible does not beg the question, and everything else is. The Bible claims Ultimate Truth through Divine revelation, not through humanity itself.
