The Bifurcation of the Political from the Spiritual

Someone wrote concerning the failure of pastors throughout the “pandemic”:

This is political, not spiritual. While I support it, it needs to be said that this has nothing to do with the Gospel or spiritual matters.

My reply:

I respectfully disagree. The essence of the political is force, and the ability to use this force upon others. The primary function of the political is to enforce law and apply it to our current situation. The fundamental question that the political seeks to answer is what is right and what is wrong. To separate the political from the spiritual is to delude yourself into thinking that something other than God is or can be the source of this law.

This means that when humanity rejects the revelation of the one and only self-existing Trinitarian God in His self-authenticating Bible, human beings replace this with their own humanistic law.

In the end, those who have the most political force determine what is right and wrong according to what best serves their agenda.

To determine what is right and wrong is the sole function of God not man, and when man usurps God, he seeks to be god. This is the essence of religion but the religion is Statism which is the worship of humankind through the State I.e. the political. In the end the motto of this god is “might makes right.”

We have seen this all throughout history in regimes such as Soviet Russia, Communist China, and Nazi Germany.

We are seeing this religion manifesting itself right now in our country and throughout the world.

To deny the God of the Bible is to replace Him with another god. And the Bible tells us in Romans 1, for example what happens when we replace God with anything else.

Our country, no, the entire world is under delusion right now and the reason is because you cannot bifurcate the political from the spiritual.

The only answer to the mess we are in is the gospel of Jesus Christ and the proclamation of the whole counsel of God’s word and establishing law upon the Ten Commandments and not arbitrary law based upon the whims of despots, dictators, the CDC, Anthony Fauci, or whatever Antichrist person or system that seeks to replace God with man.
