The Death of Neutrality

What is happening in our country, and perhaps the entire world is the march towards non-neutrality. This movement is hanging in the air, like a heavy specter that cannot be avoided. Many people are swept up in the momentum, and don’t even know it. More, every day, are working towards its implementation. The time is coming where neutrality will no longer be an option. Where you stand will be readily apparent.

What issue am I referring to? I could pick a dozen off the top of my head. It matters not which one you choose, they all are driving us towards the precipice. I believe people who lived in other times in history would recognize the atmosphere of angst. It’s more difficult to recognize the first time you experience it, and experiencing it, we are.

We are witnessing the fall of modern civilization as we know it. It took Rome hundreds of years to fall, other civilizations fell much faster than that. How long will this take in our day? No one knows, but if I had to bet, I’d give it another 10 years at best, maybe sooner. I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think I am.

I know where I stand, and if I die, I know where I will spend eternity so I have nothing to fear, though I don’t look forward to any pain or inconvenience that we may have to suffer. Forgive the gloom and doom, but my faith compels me to speak.
