A Homily from a Pulpitless Pastor: I Wonder…
I wonder…
What would happen if the name of Christ were mentioned as much as covid?
If people feared the Alpha and Omega more than they fear delta and omicron?
If people took as much time caring for their souls as they do their bodies?
If people inoculated themselves against sin and boosted themselves with prayer and Bible study?
If, instead of masking their mouths, they openly proclaimed the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever they went?
If instead of feeling free to rebuke the unmasked and unvaxxed, they rebuked those practicing blatant sin?
If instead of trusting in the CDC, they put their trust in J.C.?
If they practiced sanctification more than sanitization?
If instead of villainizing people of differing opinions and practices, we gathered in the love and unity of the Spirit of Christ?
If pastors were more concerned with the state of the souls of their parishioners than their vaccination status?
If social media censored porn, smut, and filth, rather than differing opinions?
If we heard godly preachers more than godless politicians?
If we distributed free food rather than free test kits?
If we saw the smiles on the faces of happy carefree children, happily enjoying playing and breathing fresh clean air?
What would happen?
I wonder….
